Ariel Schlichter

Ariel Schlichter is an Argentinian composer, producer, and mixing/mastering engineer based in Berlin. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Composition with Electro-Acoustic Media from the Quilmes National University in Argentina, and has worked across music production, film scoring, sound design, and contemporary composition for more than a decade.
His work includes music for documentaries, short films, installations, dance, theater, and video games, including original music and orchestration for ‘El Resto de Nosotros’ by the Argentine National Contemporary Dance Company, and the original score for 'Enchant', a Christmas theme park in Vancouver. In 2015, his soundtrack for the documentary 'Jardín de Sueños' was nominated for “Best Music in Film” at the Madrid International Film Festival.
In 2018, he was selected as Argentina’s representative for the 'Red Bull Music Academy' in Berlin, and later that year participated in the Late Fall Musicians in Residence program at the 'Banff Centre for Arts and Creativity' in Canada. In 2021, he joined the 'Fleetstreet Residency' program in Hamburg, collaborating with the group 'Lujo Asiático' and artists from the local scene for the documentary 'Feed The River' with support from the Goethe-Institut. In 2026, he created the sound design for 'OFF SCORE' by 'Annika Kahrs' at the 'Hamburger Bahnhof' museum in Berlin.
Since relocating to Berlin in 2019, he has co-founded Keine Zukunft Studio alongside producer Matthias Anton. As of 2025, he has worked on more than 600 releases for artists from around the world across a broad range of genres and disciplines.
Alongside his production work, he releases music under different aliases, including the experimental electronic project 'Chasys' and the psychedelic pop project 'Maqueta'. He also runs Puddle Label, a multidisciplinary music label that includes the interview series Puddle Podcast and a 'monthly radio show' at '90mil Radio' dedicated to showcasing artists and musical discoveries from the label’s community.
